Inter-Department Dance Competition Celebrates Culture and Creativity at IGGC Tezu
Tezu, March 28 : The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), under the banner of Rashtriya Kala Manch (RKM), IGGC Tezu Campus Unit, successfully organised an Inter-Department Group Dance Competition at the Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC) Auditorium, Tezu.

The event, themed “Screen Time to Artist Time,” encouraged students to shift focus from digital engagement to artistic expression. A total of 10 teams from different departments participated, delivering vibrant performances in traditional attire that beautifully showcased the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
Smt. Sailu Bellai, Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of the Cultural and Literary Society of Mishmi (CALSOM), Lohit District, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The competition was judged by Dr. Jeevantu Tikhak, Head of the Department of History and Coordinator of the Academic Cell, and Miss Oyi Apang, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, IGGC Tezu.
Among the prominent attendees were Shri Jelai Wangnaw, Vibhag Sangathan Mantri, ABVP Lohit Vibhag; Shri Rohanso Pul, Lohit District Co-Convener; Shri Kikamso Pul, Tezu Town Secretary; Shri Khoshan Khamblai, State Working Committee Member; and Shri Rojing Appa, President of ABVP IGGC Tezu Campus Unit, along with senior karyakartas and a large number of students.
In the competition, the Department of Zoology secured the first position, while the Department of History bagged the second position. Winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes, and consolation prizes were distributed among other participating teams.
The event concluded on a high note with enthusiastic participation and strong audience support, highlighting the spirit of creativity, unity, and cultural pride among students.
