Arunachal Cabinet Hails PM Modi’s 25 Years as Head of Government

Itanagar, October 11 : The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of continuous service as Head of Government on October 7.

Modi became Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and assumed office as Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014. His third consecutive term as Prime Minister began on June 9, 2024.

The Cabinet highlighted his governance approach under the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” and acknowledged major national initiatives, including the abrogation of Article 370, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, GST and the next-generation GST 2.0 reforms.

The Cabinet also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for launching GST 2.0 reforms and the GST Bachat Utsav during his visit to Itanagar on September 22, 2025.

Highlighting Arunachal Pradesh’s development, the Cabinet cited welfare achievements, including coverage of more than 8.57 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, housing assistance to around 55,000 families and tap water connections to 2.28 lakh households.

It also noted progress in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, tourism, border connectivity and renewable energy. More than 1.14 lakh farmers have been enrolled under PM-KISAN, while over ₹52,000 crore has been approved for five additional hydropower projects expected to generate nearly 4,000 MW.

The Cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 and extended congratulations to the Prime Minister for his 25 years of public service.
