State-Level Painting and Elocution Competition Held in Itanagar

ITANAGAR, October 6 : The Department of Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, organised a State-Level Painting and Elocution Competition under the nationwide Seva Chitra initiative at the Artisan-Cum-Handicraft Exhibition Centre, Itanagar.

The competition was organised to commemorate the 25-year public service journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and provided a platform for school students from across the state to showcase their creativity, knowledge and social awareness.

Minister of Education Pasang Dorjee Sona graced the programme as the Chief Guest. MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom, Director of Elementary Education Tani Talom, Joint Director of Elementary Education Mana Linggi, Joint Director of Secondary Education Pokling Tayeng, along with senior officials, teachers, students and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.

District-level winners from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh participated in the state-level competition in two categories—Junior Category (Classes I–VIII) and Senior Category (Classes IX–XII).

The participants expressed their ideas through painting and elocution on themes including National Highways, Clean and Green Villages, and Jal Jeevan Mission in Arunachal Pradesh. Their presentations reflected the creativity, imagination and growing social awareness of the younger generation, particularly on issues related to development and public welfare.

The winners were felicitated with certificates, mementos and cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances. The students were also encouraged to continue nurturing their creativity, knowledge and talents.

The competition served as a meaningful platform for students to articulate their ideas and perspectives while highlighting the importance of education, creativity and youth participation in social development and nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona congratulated all the participants for their enthusiasm and commendable performances. He appreciated the efforts of the Education Department, teachers and parents in nurturing young talent and encouraged the students to continue pursuing their interests with dedication.

The Minister extended his best wishes to all participating students for a bright future, continued success and holistic development.
