Keyi Panyor DA crackdown on illegal stone crusher operations
Yachuli : In a significant enforcement action, the Keyi Panyor District Administration on Monday carried out a coordinated crackdown on illegal stone crusher operations and unauthorized mineral extraction across multiple locations in the district.
The operation, conducted on November 3, was led by Beru Dulom, Assistant Mineral Development Officer (AMDO) with support from a 26-member police team headed by Inspector Token Dubi, OC, Yachuli Police Station.
Three stone crusher units—M/s NT LLP (Pitapool), M/s Meens Stone Crusher (Potin) and M/s D & L Enterprises (Potin)—were found operating in violation of the Arunachal Pradesh Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 2020. All three units were sealed following detection of offenses such as operating without a valid NOC, continuing operations after permit expiry, and illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
Officials also seized a large quantity of machinery from the sites, including 13 dumper trucks, 3 backhoe loaders, 5 excavators, and 1 loader. Roadworthy vehicles were moved to the Yazali Police Station for custody, while defunct machinery was sealed on-site.
The administration followed all legal procedures during the operation, issuing seizure memos, recording photographic and video evidence, immobilizing machinery, and serving show-cause notices to the violators with a seven-day response period.
District authorities said the action is part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal mining activities and protect the district’s mineral resources. Similar enforcement drives, they added, will continue in the coming weeks.
