DTCC Leparada launches 60 Days Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0
Basar, 26 September : District Tobacco Control Cell, Leparada launched 60 days Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.O in collaboration with District Administration of Leparada. The campaign was launched by Dr. M.N. Taloh EAC, Basar Leparada along with Mr. M. Boje (DySP), Dr. Emo Basar (DMO), Dr. Karmar Dirchi (DRCHO), Dr. Nyage Lombi (Medical Supt.), Dr. Dagyi Basar, DPO (DTCC) in the presence of Medical Staffs, NHM staffs and other vertical programme staffs. The campaign opened with the highlights of 60 Days of Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.O and implementation of Tobacco Free Educational Institution and awareness campaign on harmful effects of Tobacco products throughout the district. DMO in his speech give an overview on the harmful effects of Tobacco and address it as a burden to the society. Dr. M.N. Taloh, EAC, while emphasizing on the impact of Tobacco and other related products to the society, assured to give full support to curb the menace. Mr. M. Boje (DySP) also spoke on the occasion and extends full cooperation from police department. The launching programme concluded with administration of “No Tobacco Pledge” by Ms. Goyir Ada, District Consultant, DTCC, Leparada.
