Joint Awareness cum Inspection Drive Conducted Along NH-13 in Keyi Panyor Ahead of ZFM 2026

Yachuli, 18 September : In compliance with the directive of the Deputy Commissioner, Keyi Panyor District, a joint Awareness-cum-Inspection Drive was conducted along NH-13 from Potin to Yachuli to assess preparedness and promote hygiene, sanitation and public safety ahead of the Ziro Festival of Music (ZFM) 2026.

The inspection team comprised Smti Takhe Riniyo Nani, Superintendent, Tax, Excise & Narcotics; Shri Tai Arun, Trade Development Officer; Dr. Taku Renu, Medical Officer, along with officials from Trade & Commerce and IPR, Keyi Panyor.

The team inspected hotels, restaurants and cafeterias, including their kitchens, washrooms and surrounding areas, and verified Food Safety and Trade Licences. Owners and staff were sensitised on maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation, ensuring fire safety, and providing quality and courteous hospitality to visitors.

The establishments were also cautioned against the storage and sale of expired or unsafe food items. Restaurant and hotel operators were advised to follow proper food-handling practices and ensure that only safe and quality food is served to customers.

The drive forms part of the district administration’s preparedness for ZFM 2026, scheduled from September 24 to 27, as a large number of visitors, including tourists, foreign nationals and VIPs, are expected to pass through Potin, Yazali, Yachuli and Joram while travelling towards Ziro Valley in neighbouring Lower Subansiri district.

As part of the cleanliness and public participation initiative, a Mass Social Service has been scheduled for Monday, September 21 across the markets of Potin, Yazali, Yachuli and Joram.

The District Administration has appealed to all business establishments, local communities and the general public to extend their cooperation and actively participate in the cleanliness and awareness initiatives to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming gateway to Ziro Valley during ZFM 2026.
