Yachuli, 17 September : The Keyi Panyor district administration has intensified preparations to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming transit route for visitors travelling to the Ziro Festival of Music (ZFM) 2026, scheduled from September 24 to 27 at Ziro Valley in Lower Subansiri district.

As Potin, Yazali, Yachuli and Joram serve as key transit points to Ziro, the district is expecting increased movement of tourists, visitors and VIPs during the festival.

A preparatory meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra in the presence of SP Keyi Panyor Akanksha Milind Tamgadge, heads of departments, administrative officers, Market Welfare Committees, PRI members and other stakeholders.

The administration has planned awareness drives on September 18 and 19 for hotels, restaurants, eateries and shops focusing on cleanliness, food hygiene, sanitation and proper waste disposal.

A mass social service from Potin to Joram Anya Gate will also be conducted on September 21 in convergence with the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

The administration will undertake enforcement and inspection drives, install welcome boards and colour-coded dustbins, strengthen traffic and law-and-order arrangements at Potin, and carry out necessary road repairs at vulnerable stretches.

Registered homestays and tourist lodges will also be promoted to provide accommodation for visitors while showcasing the tourism potential of Keyi Panyor.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments and stakeholders to work in close coordination and complete preparations well ahead of the festival. The stakeholders assured concerted efforts to provide visitors with a clean, safe and well-managed transit route along with warm hospitality and essential facilities. (DIPRO)
