Dasanglu Pul Meets Union Minister Annapurna Devi, Discusses Women and Child Welfare
NEW DELHI, October 6 : Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul on Tuesday called on Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi in New Delhi and discussed a range of issues concerning the welfare, protection and development of women and children in the state.
During the meeting, the two ministers deliberated on strengthening ongoing initiatives and exploring effective strategies for women-led development, child protection, nutrition and early childhood care.
They also discussed measures to create greater opportunities for women and adolescent girls and strengthen mechanisms to ensure their safety, well-being and empowerment across Arunachal Pradesh.
Pul reiterated the state government’s commitment to further strengthening programmes for women and children and ensuring that the benefits of various welfare schemes reach people at the grassroots level.
The state minister expressed gratitude to the Union Ministry for its various initiatives, particularly those recognising and supporting the contributions of Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers and ASHA Didis, who play a crucial role in delivering essential services at the community level.
During the interaction, Union Minister Annapurna Devi appreciated the recently organised Agan Milan Sewa Sammelan for Anganwadi Workers and ASHA Didis in Arunachal Pradesh. She lauded the initiative and acknowledged the important role played by frontline workers in strengthening the delivery of women and child welfare services.
Pul said the Union Minister assured full support and cooperation in addressing the issues raised during the meeting and in further strengthening initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of women and children in the northeastern state.
The state minister thanked Annapurna Devi for her guidance, encouragement and continued support to Arunachal Pradesh in advancing initiatives aimed at creating a safer, healthier and more empowered environment for women and children.
Pul expressed confidence that coordinated efforts between the Centre and the state would further strengthen the implementation of welfare programmes and improve their reach and impact at the grassroots level.
